The house is large and clutter free and makes a fabulous space for entertaining when bringing extended family or friends together. It has a wonderful sunny garden with decking and seating. The rooms are spacious and newly renovated to a good standard. There is a large flat screen TV and cosy log burner in the sitting room with lots of comfy seating. The kitchen has all the usual amenities and is well stocked. A perfect place to use as a base or to put your feet up and relax and enjoy all that the New Forest has to offer.
A recently refurbished railwayman’s cottage which has had a face lift throughout. The cottage is located in the charming village of Brockenhurst which is the largest village in The New Forest & home to plenty of shops, restaurants & pubs. Brockenhurst has direct access on to the New Forest national park, where you can spot ponies, donkey’s & cattle. The cottage is conveniently located just 2 minutes walk away from the train station & Bike Hire Center & accommodates 9 guests!
**The cottage is just two minutes walk away from the train station (when going through the pedestrian gate to the rear of the station). There is a paid car park at the Train Station for guests bringing more than one car. Space for one car on the cottage drive or two small ones**
The cottage is ideal for both Summer and Winter stays being both bright and sunny yet cosy in the evenings with a log burner in the living room. The property is able to sleep nine people in total (Plus infants) and has the benefit of a seperate downstairs bedroom (with sofa bed) and ensuite shower room for guests who are less able – this will only be made up as a bed if the guest numbers are above 7 or by request. Alternatively, the downstairs room can be used as a further living area if the sofa bed is not in use and contains a second tv and selection of games, making it an ideal second living room for families looking to spread out.
Upstairs there are a further 2 double bedrooms, 1 bunk bed room, a single bedroom and a bathroom with shower over head.
The kitchen diner is fully equipped and benefits from having a dishwasher, washing machine and dining table booth that seats up to nine guests. French doors from the kitchen lead out to sunny west facing garden with lawn & decking plus a large picnic bench that will seat all of the family.
Outside on the drive there is parking for one car (or two very small cars at a squeeze! ) but always remember to shut the gate at the front of the property otherwise you could have roaming ponies or donkeys in the garden!
We’re unfortunately unable to accommodate dogs.
There is restricted parking on the road between Monday to Friday 8am to 7pm for those bringing more than one car.
